Bachelor of Science in Nursing
West Coast University was approved by the Board of Registered Nursing for the unique 39 month Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Clinical experts, nursing scholars, and leaders from a wide range of nursing specialties serve as instructors and give you a strong theoretical knowledge in nursing, as well as solid clinical skills in a variety of health care facilities throughout Southern California, including hospitals, community clinics, long-term care, home care, and community health agencies.
You’ll learn such key concepts as research, professionalism, critical thinking, making sound clinical decisions, interpersonal skills, delivering compassionate, safe nursing care, analyzing complex situations, ethical reasoning, leadership, case management, health promotion, and more.
Your clinical experience will prepare you to care for individuals, families, and groups at all age levels and from culturally diverse backgrounds. At graduation, you will be ready for any number of nursing positions in pediatrics, medical-surgical nursing, gerontology, psychiatric/mental health, community health, and home care nursing.
* According to a 2006 State of California survey of registered nurses.
** Transferability of credit will be determined by WCU Academic and/or Nursing Dean.
